Last June Natuzzi launched a competition for Chinese designers and architects invited to interpret the concept of “Harmony Maker”, the Natuzzi Italia statement.
The winners’ awards ceremony named “Looking for harmony maker” took place during the Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai (23-25 November 2017).
Eight prestigious professionals invited to judge the participants, selected and awarded 8 projects able to explore new and interesting frontiers of the harmony, designing original ideas around the harmony approach inside houses.
Amongst all the projects presented, “A spiritual home – Natuzzi Harmony Home” by Liu Shida e Wang Xi won the first prize. This is the motivation underlying: “The project, with an advanced design concept and a strong visual impact, not only incorporates elements taken from traditional Chinese paintings, but also offers a visual experience between modern and fashionable space. This is also a demonstration of intertwined oriental and western design ideas, adding a further meaning to the competition, focused on the theme of harmony”.
The jury was composed by: Claudio Bellini and Mauro Lipparini, Italian designers; Professor Su Dan, Associate Dean of the Academy of Arts & Design,Tsinghua University; Mr. Ricky Wong, one of Hong Kong’s top designers; Mr. Wang Chuanshun, executive director of the China Institute of Interior Design and Director of the Shanghai Association; Mr. Sun Qun, founder of Beijing Design Week; Mr. Zhao Hu, deputy director of the Design Committee of China National Interior Decoration Association, and Pasquale Junior Natuzzi, chief marketing & communication officer of Natuzzi.
