Sharon Stone was the testimonial at the gala dinner in favour of the Foundation

“I’m very happy to be here.” With these words Sharon Stone greeted photographers and journalists waiting for her in Matera on Saturday, September 12th. Here, the actress arrived at the invitation of Nobel Laureate Betty Williams, President of the Foundation “City of Peace for Children in Basilicata”, which counts Pasquale Natuzzi among its supporters.

Sharon Stone was the testimonial at the charity dinner to raise funds in favour of the Foundation. The event was held at the prestigious Palazzo Gattini in Matera, in the presence of the President of the Region, Marcello Pittella, and Pasquale Natuzzi.

Yesterday, Sharon Stone carried on her journey in Basilicata with a visit to the Foundation’s facilities in the cities of Sant’Arcangelo and Scanzano Ionico, hosting refugees and asylum seekers since 2012: until now, the Foundation has been ensuring a safe shelter for more than 80 people. Recently, the UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-Moon, expressed his appreciation of the initiative during the official presentation of the project at the UN building in New York.
